It sounds more like the way the message was given to people than the message itself.

Possibly. But there was a reference to secret meetings in another post which is a touch unfair when you've pretty much got no choice but to follow club instructions. Their venue, equipment, and speakers.

I'm sure the delivery could have been improved mind, if that turns out to be the issue.

Who requested that, mate? News to me. I assumed Alan said it as a respect/good manners thing. Not as intimated elsewhere.

I’ll take this opportunity to thank those in attendance and in particular to those at the Trust. I thought it went well under the circumstances.

Alan's just naturally miserable but he has put in a hell of a lot of effort on behalf of the club's supporters and still does.

He doesn't seem to presently rate Potts. He's not averse to changing his mind though.

i'm not actually that ar$ed tbh mate. just pillockin mostly. don't take it personally. my general point is you can probably look at a number of things collectively, which could create a negative impression. attitude towards people arriving, previous experiences of people who have since knocked it on the head, delivering messages badly...call it what you want. as to why it was even considered a private meeting - mystery to me. nothing at all said, that I would have considered private. on the contrary - was probably the most defensive & closed QA i've been to. even information i would consider public domain, was held back.

Alan definitely asked that people turn their phones off to prevent interruptions. A courtesy issue pure and simple.

Agree to disagree mate. He specifically mentioned staying off social media, specifically mentioned not tweeting and specifically said it was a private meeting. If it was said purely out of courtesy to prevent interruptions, he could have easily not said any of the above, and just asked people to switch their phones to silent.

Can't comment on the intent of what he said - and I'd like to think it was all well intended; but that's definitely what he said.

As you say we'll have to agree to disagree. No problem.

That was supposed to be the case. No idea what happened. Would have been better run if I'd have been there ;)
