Hi there I am a football fan from Germany, I'll be in the Sheffield area on next weekend and on that occasion was hoping to be able to visit some grounds... the Barnsley-Leeds game would have fit perfectly into my schedule, only problem being the ticket sale restrictions imposed by the club. I still wanted to ask though how in your opinion this will work out in practice (or has worked out in the past) - because I can't really imagine that they won't sell me a ticket if I present myself at box office on match day, as it's pretty obvious that I'm not a Leeds supporter......?! or will the tickets be sold out before next saturday anyway? thanks in advance for all kind of advice, much appreciated!! best regards from Germany!
Good morning - email boxoffice@barnsleyfc.co.uk directly and they may be able to help you out - I imagine you'd have to register for a ticket but not sure. Hopefully they'll show some common sense and sort you out. Good luck !
I'd agree with this. Hopefully the club can help you out. It would be possible for a season ticket holder to get you a ticket if you can arrange to transfer funds to them. I appreciate there is a risk involved when you're talking about strangers on the internet.
Viel Glück, You Reds!
I’m sure the club will be able to accommodate you. It won’t be close to a sell out - in the home areas at least. Leeds will sell out I reckon.
thank you all for your replies! as to writing to the club: I already had done this prior to writing here but they answered the expected: "strict policy guidlines" etc, ticket offices would be open on 25th but with the same restrictions... I just wonder how they want to control that? do they know all their previous fans/"customers" by name? anyway, I might try to just show up and ask somebody
You can't pay on day, tickets have to be pre purchased by Friday You can pay by debit/credit card on phone or by internet but you can collect ticket before game, that's what I do anyway. It's on TV so if ya can't get in watch it in pubs in Barnsley
Someone may be willing to get you a ticket if you send them the money first. I would but I've already helped someone out. The only way you might get one on the day is if someone is selling one outside the ground (I've seen this a couple of times) but with it being Leeds it's probably unlikely.
Ich habe eine Bank-Verbindung in Norderstedt, bei Hamburg, also eine Überweisung wäre einfacher für Sie. Nicht günstig aber, wäre ungefähr €40!!!! Bin gerne bereit, Ihnen zu helfen.
Think he's telling him to get in early, buy a pint & pie before the start cos they have sold out before half time
Nope, I told him to steer clear of Conan and Redstar if he does manage to get a ticket. I'll try to sort him out!
You should feel honoured you got a reply from the club, most people don’t! Who do you support in Germany?
Vielen Dank.
