Just at back end of first season started on Beta, about to get promoted to Premier League but god knows how? Playing 4123 wide don't score many goals no matter how attacking I go but the defence with Davies, McCarthy, Macdonald, Lindsey and Pinnock is a beast! Sold Thiam to PSG for 6 mil and Yiadom to WBA FOR 4 mil. All funds given to use as transfer money, signed a couple of freebee's Chuma who is good and Rossi who is a waste of money always injured. (thanks FM Scout) Also did swap deal Pearson plus money for Morsy at Wigan who with Williams and Gardner are immense in midfield, Limited up front with Bradshaw best of a poor bunch, Barnes and Ugbo buggered off in January! I agree don't like the new scouting system unless you have an amazing Head Scout your player options are very limited and anybody of any quality staff or players won't come! Not a clue on the psychological or medical screen just leaving it to staff at this stage Also Injuries are silly 2-3 injuries a week SI claim this realistic. p.s. Even though I have had a great season still could not beat Wednesday Home or Away ( Away Lost to injury time goal!!!)
Just got to where we are now and lost to Norwich 3-2. Top of the league but just hit a bit of a rough patch. I sent Ugbo back to Chelsea and signed Mcburnie. Surprised you’re both selling Thiam he’s been a beast for me 12 goals and 8 assists in 16 games. Need a new left back in January, Fryers has been useless. I’m not keen on the new scouting system either.
I purchased the mobile version its not bad for 8 quid but it far fetched i got promoted to prem so of results i have had are really unrealistic i was 5-1 down to southampton with 15 left and drew 5 all and 5 2 up at bornemouth and won 6 5 so not really realistic but bradshaw and hamill are fantastic i play 4 2 3 1 with bradders up top thiam cutting in from left and hammill cutting in from right seems to work well for me
Not played it, but doesn’t matter what the scouting system is. I aways used genie scout. Don’t say it’s cheating that’s how Bfc do it
Are you playing the full version for PC/Mac or FM Touch for the iPad? I’m toying with the idea of buying FM Touch this year as opposed to FM Mobile as I’ve found the latter gets rather tedious after a while.
Stopped playing Football Manager when one of the games had Bobby Hassell down as being on £400 a week or some **** years ago. Have the wages of our players got more realistic since then?
Got this yesterday, struggling with the new scouting system, and still figuring out the best formation and tactics to go with. All full backs are injured which is a right bugger!
I played the 4231. Thiam got 22 goals for me first season. Finished 13th and i've been took over by someone but I'm not sure they've boosted the transfer budget. Like always the wages the players want at the end of the season to extends silly.
Personally, I think the new scouting system is quite good. You can still get the old scouting ways up by going abit further. Bradders got 22 goals in the first season for me, sold Thiam for 1 million. I play 3-5-2, as I did on FM 17, although still getting results they're not quite as convincing as the previous game so might need to change it up abit!
