In light of todays sad news about Malcolm Young (RIP) i thought it would be interesting to see what people think is their best album? Personally i rate "Powerage" as their best, the Bon Scott years can't be beaten!
Powerage is massively underrated. I used to sing in a DC tribute and and I loved performing What’s Next to the moon
IMO except Back in Black, Black Ice and Razors Edge, all the other Brian Johnson era albums are poor.
Tough choice.... Closest I can get is either Back In Black or Highway to Hell but there’s nithing between them.
I prefer to look at the BJ era as a new start rather than a like for like replacement as that was an impossible task anyway
I know it seems that you should only like Bon Scott and not Brian, I hear it a lot, but AC/Dc were a lot more successful with Johnson. I prefer to think of them as separate entities . I like parts of all there Albums , from the earlier years I love Highway to Hell and the second part , Razors edge. But I think Johnson sings some of the Scott songs better , like Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap. I also thought Axel Rose did a very good job last year too. I have every album they have made, including the live albums etc.
Really? I accept your opinion mate but cant see your reasoning that AC/DC in the 80s were *****. Like every other group they had their ups and downs but IMO never *****.
