Substitutions at Reading at half time. Hecky: "No - they were all tactical." Work back from there.

Player development/management - unfortunately he can’t do it as easily across the squad

    Let's support Gus.
    Not time for an inquisition.
He's had a bad start to the season for one reason or another.
    Give him time.
Remember that last minute goal against Wednesday.?
He's out of the team for whatever reason but he'll be back.
    Let's support him.

Thought Pearson did ok. First two goals Yiadom ? 3rd goal we're chasing a 2 goal lead so leave huge gaps.

1st Goal Pearson should have headed the ball back the way it came( day 1 lesson 1 - defensive headers drill) , his "flick" header or whatever it was - not appropriate in defence and gifted them the goal IMHO.
2nd goal was a mess the midfield went AWOL especially in the centre and on the left. No blame for Pearson.
3rd goal Pearson didn't attack the ball when it was clear the player was going to bring it down and shoot.

Conclusion - 2 of the 3 goals he should have done better.

Will check out on the replay, but in general play thought he looked ok. Had Yiadom down at fault for 1 and 2.

Let's be reight, angus is pretty pap as a centre half tbf. We are in trouble without spending on a decent centre half or two as well as a ball winning midfielder and strong hold up striker along with a better keeper cos Davis confidence is shot

What’s a young lads choice of lass got to do with anything? Provided they’re 18+

He’s not performed like he did last year. But I’m not sure whether his girlfriend status is relevant to that.

It was a really poor header by Pearson for 1st goal and McCarthy could have helped him out but put in an even poorer challenge . Annoyingly we looked as good as them till that point.
