I think the last few weeks have shown the players wearing the red shirt at this present time are league 1 players at their best. Therefore, like it or lump it this makes us a league 1 team until we buy or develop championship players. This is the current position we are in like it or not. Reality check time!
We did do, weeks ago. Bad run now, I know. People at the club have to live with it 24/7 too. Trying to flog tickets, create stuff, all that jazz, much harder when we lose every week. But **** giving up. Red until the end.
Love Hecky all he's done but his credit is runnin low and January is a huge transfer window for him. I wouldn't say people have given up quick after 4 home league wins in a calendar year. I'd say they have been very patient with the regime. Credit to anyone who paid on the day to watch out year long form in that weather and good luck selling half season passes.
Of course we do this has been the reality since we signed players from league one and two. The gamble was that they would be able to improve enough to compete at this level. They started very encouragingly however this as now gone the other way. The big fear is that it will be hard to turn round now. They looked terrified apart from Gardner who just looks totally disinterested. Total loss of confidence I think which is to be expected given the age of our squad. Now more than quality ability or spreadsheets and formations, it's going to require players to be brave, to want the ball to show some fight and try and get the crowd back with them.
