Just think about it. Both had shoestring budget sides around the playoffs before having their best assets stripped from above resulting in a very depressing calendar year the following 12 months playing truly turgid football. Hill was 3-6 points from the top six when we lost Vaz Te & Drinkwater and had Butterfield injured. Hecky was in the same position when we lost Hourihane and Bree. Only difference being that this year we still had a spine of a good side in Scowen, Watkins & Roberts whereas Keith was left with a side well out of its depth (hence the 14th & 21st finishes) Lets face it, if Hecky was some geezer from Rochdale the pitchforks would be out as they were with Mr.Hill. If Keith Hill should have been sacked then Hecky should be sacked. No double standards from me.
Mr Hill (alias Wrecking Ball) would appear to be a JPT Trophy and a Playoff Champions Trophy light in this comparison, to say nothing of the crab-like sidewards passing football he encouraged.
He's an easy target given others can't be touched. You're making it even easier. I know you are unhappy with results, we all are, but look at where players have been recruited from and we still are NOT in the bottom 3. Like I said yesterday, who can do better given the constraints, which will STILL BE THERE. Hence the failure to retain amy of the three you named, indeed one was basically forced out to satisfy someones desire to be right. Next head coach is Bobby Hassell. That should please the waste of snap who liked your post yestdi. I don't see what he will do better to be honest.
Hill had absolutely no respect for the Barnsley supporters and couldn't take any criticism whereas Hecky meets it head on and understands our frustrations because as well as being the coach he's also a fan. According to Nixon, a new deal is close to being made to keep him at Oakwell and we are being taken over in the coming days.! https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/e...-reliable-journalist-provides-massive-update/
Lindsay, Moncur, Gardner and others are constantly passing it across the backline. KH did not manage us in League 1 so it was literally impossible to pull off the feats of which you speak.
I think there is one other poster on here who shares your opinion. Who it is should tell you all you need to know.
Exactly. People judge on who they like most in interviews. As I said when you look at them as managers they are very similar, although Keith is probably the more credible one.
My mate reckons you and HT are the same person. We've got a tenner on it so could you just confirm? Ta.
The dwarf didn't get sacked when we were miles worse than this, in the division below, having just lost to a park team.
No other manager in this league is working under the same restraints as hecky in my opinion.Fair enough if he'd blown 20 mill on transfers like Birmingham did in the summer and was in the bottom 3 then his position would deservedly be questioned but at the minute he's working with one arm tied behind his back.
What a load of tosh , there is no way that Hecky sets up the team to play the same way as Keith Hill did, plus like him or dislike him , Hecky has always shown supporters respect whilst Mr Hill treated the fans with total distain
Hill was allowed to bring players over the age of 23 into the club summat am sure hecky would love to do if given the chance .
Hill had to feed off almost entirely free transfers and loans. While Hecky has no say in who we sign the funds available have been huge in comparison. Try again.
