Didn't BFC sell it all when they were about to go under? It might've come back now though, but we'll have to wait for the presser tomorrow.
Hopefully not. Been a fan since 1961 and tWell has changed beyond recognition since then. But its still tWell. Plenty o room for more change n improvement but theres still plenty o life in the owd gal IMHO
I do not get that at all , when travelling fans come to Oakwell , they get better facilities than most grounds in the Championship , who else provides the opportunity to house 6000 fans , where they have safe access in & out of the ground etc . What happens when we go to the so called glamour clubs , we are usually shunted to some corner with a poor view, restricted seating & views & pay top dollar for the privilege , prime example being our near neighbours Leeds & Wednesday
I view as it was when it was announced that both the Council and PC would jointly own the land to protect it from any development thats not welcome. One couldn’t do anything without the other. Obviously we don’t know the full details of this take over but I personally would be very surprised if the land isn’t part of the deal. I also predict the new consortium would’ve have to at least give assurances about future use/ development of land in part of wholly.
Why would that be? They came in and helped secure the club and protect Oakwell from property developers who were circling hoping to make a killing on the land. They deserve some credit just like Pat and his Family.
