Apart from the match itself, I’m intrigued as to what will be planned and put into action for this. Thought I heard something mentioned about a fan zone. That sounds promising with a possibility of a variety of entertainment/ activities and given that we have quite a large away ‘end’ it could encourage more visiting fans, particularly families. Perhaps even South Yorkshires finest might allow increased numbers of away fans? I’m sure the new board will be aware that Barnsley is far from being the most affluent of places so hopefully it won’t break the bank.

Fan zones are excellent and can be simple and cheap.
Mobile bar, large gazebo, add in a bit of music and job done.
I love Redfearns bar, but long since packed in going as I got fed up of being turned away due to it being full, so mine, and many other's, pre match pint money isn't benefitting the club whatsoever.

A Nice idea, literally, but the south of France is a different prospect from Barnsley. To encourage fans to turn up early for a pre-match experience is great... when you've got the Mediterranean sun on your back, but Barnsley in winter..... hmmm..... there's a lot of thinking to be done.
Barnsley fans traditionally arrive two minutes before kick off. Wonder what will make them come at 1 or 2 o'clock?

If they go eventually redevelop the west stand I’d love to see the changing rooms and players’ tunnel coming out of the west rand again

May seem a minor thing but walking out in front of the away support, especially when there’s a big following, can’t be a good thing

Maybe just a little 1% gain but still ....

Beer and make it cheaper than the others. Job done.

People sit in Wetherspoons so don’t care a job about experience, they want ale and they want it cheaper than anywhere else. Build a social club and make it a central hub for the trust/fans groups/away travel etc

If we rebuilt the west stand it WOULD have the changing rooms in it because in order to play in the premier league the changing rooms must be in the same stand as the media facilities and what not. Something along those lines anyway

Thought the away end had media rooms in it?

Everyone is to be issued with one of them "clappy" things like they have at huddersfield.
