She died suddenly last week at 23. Went to home and away games with the East Dene Reds. I believe a picture will be in the program Boxing Day thanks very kindly to Whitey & the family are coming to the game. I believe some applause is planned at the 23rd minute to reflect her 23 years. Thought it was worth making as many people aware as possible. Incredibly sad, especially at this time of year. RIP Jess you'll be missed.
Nice to see Preston fans involved too. Its been a tough week for us but things like this are a bit heartening.
Truly devastating. Heartbreaking stuff, thoughts with family and friends. Great gesture from the Club. RIP Jess
Cheers. All the nice messages mean a lot to us & if anyone could help us spread the word about the applause would mean the world.
Never met Jess but all the comments I've seen on social media demonstrate that she was very highly thought of - such a tragic loss - my thoughts and prayers to everyone who knew her
A Christmas related story about her to show the sort of person she was.. When we were all kids our parents would get us gifts etc "from" each other and we'd sign the cards and that would be that. Jess however would save up her pocket money for months to have personally bought each of us a gift and wrapped it herself. Genuine, unbelievable kindness.
Met Jess just the once earlier this year through work. A pleasant girl and a pleasure to meet. Didn’t realise at the time she was a big Reds fan. RIP Jess.
