David Nugent from Derby. 32 year old striker.
Bloke who sits near me got it from a bloke he knows who has "connections". Probably the west stand bogs cleaner.
Can't see it myself, but stranger things have happened (and never forget: Mido is the yardstick by which weird happenings at Oakwell are measured).

32 year old, that will not fit in with "THE PLAN" so you can forget that

What's wrong with a stopgap if it keeps us in this division?

Sky high wages and over inflated transfer fee for a stop gap,,

We might not have to buy.

Anyway, let's keep to our principles, keep it cheap and cheerful, and keep the faith while we're entertaining Lincoln and Luton this time next year.

Will it cost more than £6 million for 5 months?

Macken did a good job for us , if Nugent signed he would bring some invaluable experience to the young lads

Nugent would be a great signing exactly what we need until the end of the season.

perhaps it would, when every other player knocks on the manager's door and asks for a pay rise, and we subsequently have to change our entire wage structure

That's the problem.. folk don't often see. But if its a loan ie Matty James came in last year on 10 times everyone else's wages and that was ok.. Granted it wasn't us paying it, Leicester wanted him fit n playing.. But in the short term it can work

I’ve a feeling the owners “stabilise in the championship” will mean some experienced players come in. A stopgap is a good description. It won’t be a bad thing too.
