People going upstairs to the Exec Lounge via the same stairwell that hundreds of people are trying to go down just after final whistle. Old guy barged from behind because there was a hold up, missed his step and only reason he didn't come to grief was that the younger bloke with him grabbed him. Steward at bottom doing nothing, Surely the folks needing to go against the flow of traffic can wait 5 minutes for the stadium to clear?
The stairwell closest to East Upper 12/ 13 does have an exit into the Exec area. However, it's being used by hundreds of fans on the way out of the ground at full time. It needs sorting because it was a real mess this evening with people trying to force their way up the stairs against a tide of hundreds, going down.
I don't mean that stairwell I don't think. I thought there was a private stairwell somewhere where the posh fans dont mix with the likes of me and you. I assume that if you go in through the exec entrance with the crappy red carpet outside that you'd go up a private staircase. No idea if there is any way to access that from inside the stand though but I'd have thought so. Unless of course that is the staircase you mean and everyone uses it to exit?
Think it's the same one. When you get to the bottom, you are (briefly) allowed to walk across a bit of red carpet and then out into the concourse. Just needs managing, or shutting off altogether from the plebs.
Agree. Absolutely stupid and today was the worst it’s been with half a dozen clowns trying to go up the stairs against the flow of hundreds coming down. Crazy and needs sorting as it’s happening every game now.
