THAT'S the way to deal with a new player announcement. No farting around with clues, and treating your fellow BBSer like a nursery child. Balls fully on display, ready to be chopped off. Metaphorically speaking.
Defo a yes from me. The lad is quality, he just needs a run of games for it to show again. January is a tough time to sign a forward and he's probably as good as we'll get. He actually wants to play for us and that's a big factor.
If true it would be a cracking signing, his rate of improvement with us last time around was incredible.
Decent at league one level so far unproven at championship level. A player we have no chance of signing permanently if he bags A load from now till end of season he may get a chance at boro next season or they will be able to re coup more of the 7 million in the summer.
Is this Chien Lee and Ganaye's 'get the fans on side' signing? Be very pleased if this comes off though, gives us yet more options up front along with our tall target man, fox in the box Bradshaw and the ever improving Thiam. I feel we'd be a midfield powerhouse short of likely survival or 2-3 players away from actually being competitive at last.
He’ll not play a game again for Boro whilst Pulis is in charge. Fletcher isn’t a Pulis player so he’ll want Fletcher gone to give him room for a more target man figure.
Great signing if it comes off. The lad's wasted 18 months or so but his wallet has benefited I'm sure. Now time to start playing regularly, hopefully for us, and banging the goals in.
Down the years some players have played well at a Club and then once they've moved on, it hasn't gone so well for them. Going back Albert Quixall is a classic case. He couldn't stop scoring at Sheffield Wednesday but was a flop at Man Utd when he moved. Same goes for Gary Birtles when he left Forest for Man Utd. Similarly Chris Woods couldn't kick a door holding the handle when he was with us. Fletcher played very well at Oakwell albeit it was in League one, but there's nothing to say he can't do it again. He's well liked at our Club and him and Moore might just provide the perfect foil for each other. Whatever happens, with those two in our team it will be an improvement on what we've witnessed thus far in my opinion.
That's how you bring up a rumour so respect man. Named a player, when it will be announced and willing to support a massive club if you're wrong. No half stories or being vague. It makes tomorrow more interesting if only to see if today was your last day supporting us
Last he was seen he was throwing the 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle that would have spelled an anagram of Fletcher's middle name in the bin having seen this thread.
Living out of tarn and not being on the BBS in 2016 did we ever have a chance of signing Ash back in the day ?
