    They're **** and they aren't funny.

They've been done since the BBS was on Dial Up, so they aren't new.

Stop it, for the love of god stop it.

    They're hilarious.

You're just not clever enough to appreciate the ******* originality of it when it's only been done for the quadrillionth time.

"Fletcher seen." Oh, it's a bloke making arrows. Hahahahahahahahaha.

It makes thereev look like Frankie Boyle.

    Seriously, I'd ban the feckers.

That'd stop it. Post painfully unfunny crap about transfers which gets people's hopes up, or their backs, and you can take a break from this place for six months.

    Drain the swamp, etc.

"Kent signing." Hehehehehehehehe, it's Superman with a pen in his hand. Why, my ******* sides. You jesters. You crazy guys.

It's pathetic, really. Can only be motivated by a "I know more than you" mentality, which is quite childish. Half truths, based on dodgy information, or sometimes no information at all. As a community of BFC-lovers we can do without this sort of carp. Otherwise we become the Bull **** Board.

What is funny is the amount of folk that take them seriously ...
But then again one man's humour is another man's wife lol

But thats the point, if they were even slightly unique, then I'm a big fan of the old jest myself, I'd give it a LOL. I don't take anything seriously, but those posts are just painful.

There's probably been one a week for the last 20 years, they became tedious some time during the summer of 1997.

So basically, it's funny when somebody has been a pillock and put up untruths? I must be missing something here!

    No - no - no.
I think Barnsley Loyal could have made a genuine mistake - which still could happen.
And he's sort of apologised for that.

What's worse IMO - is the redarmychris type of post ......... i.e. 'I know something you don't know'.
There might be a case for Admin to delete those types of post.

Barnsley Loyal and redarmychris are fine.

In the case of Barnsley Loyal, he shared something which he genuinely believed was going to happen. Circumstances changed, or he was misled, or he misunderstood. It was clearly not something designed to provoke, though.

Redarmychris is at risk of blowing his source if he says too much, so he writes what he can get away with. In both cases, the posts are well-meaning and useful.

Their contributions, and others like them, should be encouraged.

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick Nudger.

I'm talking about the 'Ryan Kent Signs'…

    Open Thread

    …'For Bristol City'

    Or 'Fletcher Signs'

    Open Thread.

The op is talking about the Fletcher signs type post followed by a picture of a sign for a shop called Fletcher's. Not the posts floating the possibility of a certain player, named or un named, joining the club.
As for having people banned for talking rubbish.......words fail me.

I love 'em personally. I never at any point expect them to be anything other than a joke so I like to try and guess what it might be before opening it.
