Now I have not seen wolves this, season but the chap at the side on me said he'd seen them a number of times this season and he guaranteed that they clatter him and he'd go of injured
Bit like Ray McHale vs Liverpool (1982), he had a great game at Anfield so Souness "took him out" in the first minute of the replay.
hopefully, think we could do with a winger and/or CM in before next weekend regardless now. Williams, Gardner already missing.
Didn't donkey rovers do that to mcphail when we played them at oakwell? Seem to remember Tony Vaughan getting a straight red away the same season for fouling the bloke who did mcphail.....
Some clogger called John Doolan got McPhail. That was the night Donkey Rovers had 62,000 in the away end. No, 3.4 million. Erm, I mean 2.07 billion.
Dunno, wasn't at that game, but Souness wasn't even booked, the ball hadn't even got out of the centre circle from the kick-off.
Very important we manage to get another pacey winger in now. It puzzled me that the main argument for not wanting Ryan Kent back was that he wasn't necessarily better than what we already had. The point was more surely that we needed another option? Isgrove is always likely to miss a month through injury at any given point, Hammill cannot do it all on his own... With Hedges also out, a player in the Kent mould would be crucial addition.
Yes that **** clogger Doolan. It's the type of thing crap footballers do, if you can't match them, clatter them. We got them back afterwards, we barely finished a game with 10 men against them in those couple of bad years we had against them. Was it Coppinger that was thrown over the East Stand wall.
I can remember Coppinger getting taken out over the West Stand wall by Neil Austin as they both nearly landed on my lap!
Can't remember the player involved but Grayson had Butterfield taken out when we played Leeds at home some years back. Even winked at the player the tackle to say "Job well done".
It was Michael Brown that did him , right in front of the dug outs , he had a go at him just before & made sure second time round , nasty tackle
You are right , as he got older & slower he got dirtier , I think as he lost his pace he tried to justify his selection by trying to play the enforcer role, but there is a big difference to being a hard player & a dirty player
