Yes and the Ponty end instead of embracing it and joining in decided to laugh and take the piss and barely reciprocated, so it faded out.
Me too... I was only 10/11 when we used to belt that one out in the promotion season. I can remember my dad getting barred from the local club in selby for putting sleepy Jean on the jukebox and giving the whole pub a chorus of cheer up Mark McGhee during the bingo!!!! He's sadly passed away now and I must admit when we started singing it yesterday I had a bit of a lump in my throat.
We were totally flat for 70 minutes. Moore came on & the songs started & we pushed on a bit. We need to raise the atmosphere in Oakwell. I did enjoy the reverie. I was in my 30's in the promotion times, so hardly school day stuff. That would be Mick Butler, if we are talking school day stuff. We gave Wolves one of the hardest away days this season, as their manager clearly indicated.
