Or Ipswich, Reading and QPR... https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...Barnsley-Ipswich-Reading-QPR-EFL-Championship Sunderland make Barnsley striker request: Chris Coleman fighting Ipswich, Reading and QPR SUNDERLAND boss Chris Coleman fancies swooping for Barnsley striker Tom Bradshaw. Coleman is in dire need of attacking reinforcements after seeing Lewis Grabban cancel his loan spell and James Vaughan join Wigan for £375,000. Bradshaw, who has entered the final 18 months of his contract, is attracting interest from a host of Championship clubs. Ipswich Town, QPR and Reading are all keen on the 25-year-old. But, according to the Sunday People, Sunderland have asked to be kept in the loop on any developments over his future. Former Wales manager Coleman gave Bradshaw his international debut in 2016. Sunderland's transfer kitty is empty and Coleman previously admitted he must wheel-and-deal in order to raise funds. The Black Cats gaffer, whose only attacking options are youngsters Josh Maja and Joel Asoro, insists chief executive Martin Bain is working flat out to sign a new striker. He said: “We’re trying, Martin is working his socks off to make something happen. We need something, hopefully this week.” Bradshaw has hit nine goals in 30 games in all competitions this term. Barnsley were recently taken over by a Chinese-American consortium so they are under no pressure to sell their key assets.
If Bradshaw is to move on , with 18 months left on his contract , it cannot be considered until after the season ends , take his goals away from this season so far & we would be in a lot deeper trouble than we currently are , especially as his would be suitors are reported to be teams in & around us in the league table . I personally like him & think he is a vital member to our squad & hopefully we resist any overtures for his signature
He's scored in 5 league games. 3 lost. 2 won. only game where he scored and we won because of those goals was Millwall. we'd have drawn 1-1 without. He's only scored one league goal this season from double figures in yards. That was a Penalty in a 2-1 loss. ''take his goals away from this season so far & we would be in a lot deeper trouble than we currently are'' 2 points worse off, that's all.
Has Bradshaw ever had good service whilst with us? I don't think he has and his goals record is still decent. I'm hoping that Hecky with bring players in that will support him and I'm sure we'll see him flourish.
I’ll say exactly the same as what I said in the thread linking him to Reading. We’d be crazy to let him go there. Anyway, it says their transfer kitty is empty (whether that’s true or not is another question) but in this day and age of transfer fees I would want a decent amount for him if he were to go.
Accurate reporting as usual. He has 11 goals, not 9. Hard ball time if anyone wants him. Goalscorers go for big money, so the opening bid is £10 million. Anyone interested?
I'd him to play for against us. Unless he gets a chance 10 yards or less out he's not scoring. He misses more than he scores. 1.1 million outlay. get half that back he'd have been lucky.
He’s scored in 2 games we won - so contributed to 6 points directly. Goals change and win matches. Without his goals we may not have won either. He’s won us countless free kicks, corners and opportunities with his immense work rate. Some of which have led to goals. He’s run the Chanels, pulled defenders out of position and softened up any defense he’s played against. He’s wanted by a host of other similar championship clubs for one very good reason. He’s a good striker, who if given the right service will not just help the team win, but also score a lot of goals. The fact you seem to dislike him only reaffirms what I imagine most fans think. That he’s a cracking player who still has a hell of a lot more to come.
It's all ifs and buts. The reality you take the 2 goals away from Millwall we draw. You take the goal away against Birmingham we win thanks to a Zeki Fryers goal. He's not good enough. Heckingbottom was boo'ed for not taking him off not so long ago. He was dropped soon after.
Thanks for confirming he will go on to be a star for the reds. Bobby, Hourihane, Roberts, Yiadom, Hecky etc. He’s in esteemed company.
Not really. One of the goals some websites are crediting Bradshaw with is Fletcher's own goal for us against Middlesbrough. Bradhaw doesn't even get close to the ball, he's on the deck at the time. Another is Pearson's header against Forest. Bradshaw may get a touch when it's over the line, but it's not conclusive that he touches it all.
I know but the official record shows that he has 11 so that’s all that matters. He’s not the only striker in history to claim debatable goals is he?
I doubt it. I don't know what the official statistic is. Some websites have him down as scoring 11 goals, some 9. Some have have him with 8 Championship goals, some 6.
