The biggest problem with that would be the internet connection as a thousand people trying to connect at the same time would be a nightmare in a metal stadium although I think it's worth looking at as they do it in America because studies show that young people are more likely to attend if there is an interactive app
That's because there is no sun in the concourse so it gets no natural warmth but it does get the chill from the lack of windows in the back
Does it? I never knew that. Do you still get the same problem of waiting ages to pick up whatever you've ordered though?
Again, it might be a regular thing but I saw them selling pies after the match once. I thought it was a great idea and quite a few were buying one. I'm always much hungrier after the match rather than at half time and I would have bought one to eat before driving back if I'd got any money on me (I don't normally take any as I know I'm not going to queue at half time for anything).
I've seen them giving away pies at full time before when presumably they'd cooked too many but I've never seen them selling them. Makes a lot of sense to though because 5pm is getting towards tea time so a good time to sell extra
They were definitely selling them but at a cheaper price. I was gutted as they looked so warm with steam coming off of them and I was freezing! (Not that I'm still traumatised by it. Nope. Not at all.)
I thought I hid it well but the woman who sits next to me brings a blanket to share with me! At first I thought it was for her and she was being nice by offering to share but she actually asks me to tell her when I want her to put it out. She is my favourite person in the world.
Know what you mean with the queuing. Cannot remember the last time I bought anything due to the time involved. If I’m doing it and you’ve mentioned it loads more will be doing the same. Like the idea of the app to order. If sorted before match day could have the precise numbers and have them ready for collection already paid over the app and have a sort of Apple Pay system where phone scanned when collected. Takes errors and time for payment and could shift a lot more.
Certainly not been open last few games. Sit in east upper so walk past after every game and been closed after for a while now. I may not be a marketing genius but around Christmas especially would have thought the hours would be extended not reduced. I am often on last push before kick off due to work and wanted a new scarf for a while but Saturday was the first chance to buy one.
The perfect location is across the road on the former site of the old Grove Street School. I’m sure it could have been converted but that ship has sailed. Buy the land and build something to cater for matchdays and perhaps even offering accommodation. Having additional housing on that site will only add to the problems we will face if we ever want to replace the West Stand
This is the app they have at Nice. There's a lot to like about it. Obviously they gave got their signal sorted. http://m.ogcnice.com/en/actualite/32408/a-new-stadium-experience-app-for-the-allianz-riviera
If the land is available you would think the club would be looking to purchase and do something with it...
I would hope so. I remember going in the sports and social club near deepdale when weve played them on a tuesday night and it was great (not sure if its still there), we need something just like that.
