They’ll be a scathing attack on Hecky on this forum at some point tonight. Let’s let the lad have his moment. He’s been waiting for this all season and I imagine he’ll go full throttle. Hecky was poor today, there’s no denying it. For once there maybe some truth in the post. As long as things don’t get too personal my advice would be to ignore it or simply agree with him. If the inevitable happens it could get pretty heated on here. Let’s not rise to it.
I’m waiting in anticipation for it and the 10 pages of replies that follow. Ongoingcloud had already had his initial reactive post that’s no more than half an hour after the game. Now we need Hemsy’s “more thought out” post.
I’d take issue with “Hecky was poor” he had his hand forced by circumstance. The players who were paid to defend were poor. Let’s not beat around the bush they didn’t do the job they are paid to. formation changes cannot be blamed.
He was poor in my opinion. Beaten before we kicked off and subbed our most effective centre forward and left the poorer one on. Don’t really want to debate it on here as that wasn’t my point of this thread. I’ve spoke about it in the positives and negatives thread though.
Agree with you on bad defending and Hecky must be pulling his hair out at the poor defending. But as far as far the advice to ignore a certain poster I think is a good advice imo
Thought Davies, Yiadem, McCarthy and Potts were poor. After the match against Wolves I could not understand why Hecky had to change the system because one player was absent, and which had worked so well.
He's entitled to his opinion just like the rest of us. I hope he does post about the game yesterday because seeing how many bites he gets for not thinking the same as the majority, is rather amusing.
He doesn't get bites for not thinking the same. He gets bites for deliberately trolling the BBS in an attempt to antagonise. Do you really think that purely coincidentally he hates everyone who is popular and it is genuinely because he thinks like Steele was the worst keeper we've had, that hecky is the worst manager we've had, that bobby hassell was the worst full back we've had etc?
To say that a change of formation does not effect a teams ability to defend is just nonsense. This does not change my view on the manager who I’m 100 per cent behind , that’s football things are easy after the event
It doesn’t affect an “individuals” ability to defend. Whatever formation they are asked to play basic defending isn’t affected surely?
