The fundamental difference is that Conservatives view "the market" and Corporations as the tools to create prosperity , whereas the Left would say that without regulations and rules, those markets and Corporations cause human suffering and financial indenture for your average person. Based on the evidence of the last 20-30 years, we have seen the rolling back of the state and of regulations and relentless privatisation of state run industries which are now basically owned by foreign state run companies - some free market. Corporations are only answerable to their share holders - the point of their existence is to create value for them, they do not care about the environment, or about society or about anything else. We elect politicians to hopefully provide us with those things which we hope will give is a good life - a health service, education, law and order and to protect our world so we can give it to our children in a half decent state. All these things are under attack by the right wing governments we've had since the slightly less right wing Labour government left power. So, on balance, it seems that the least selfish option is to vote for Corbyn, even though it will probably make me poorer - but if it makes society better, hey, I'm happy to pay, and if that's socialism then so be it.

I get ya pal, I just think the Corbyn ideology in particularly isn't workable. I don't agree with the 7 years of austerity we've had under the Tory's but I fear we'd be in some right sh*t if Labour had got in. Rolling back regulation is a great thing, why do people want the state to interfere in their lives? It should be minimal, let folk do what they want (within reason), we keep more of our hard earned money under the Tory's, Labour want to tax those that work the hardest and give the money to those who can't be a*sed. As for the environmental stuff - Corbyn can say whatever he wants because he's not in a position where he actually needs to implement it, under the Tory's we've had the carrier bag charge, aiming to get rid of plastic food wrapping and even aiming to ban cars that run on petrol/diesel, what else can they do?

Grenfell tower is a perfect example of what happens when you roll back on regulation . getting private companies to do public works at the lowest possible price ..........

Where's the evidence that shows Thatcher to be a feminist?
Nothing could be further from the truth.

If you think the coal industry was a burden on the economy then there’s little wonder you spout out your ****** up opinions. Profit making/ record productive pits were closed.

The NHS is struggling because the govt has made an ideological choice not to fund it, to run it down whilst selling chunks off to their rich mates with their fingers deeply embedded in the profit pie.
    Branson for starters !
There a large untapped market in the elderly, Hunt shamelessly told The Select Committee.
I've watched the video and it's shameful.

The introduction of ACOs will complete the process of privatisation when introduced. The first ACO is to be trialled in Devon.
    They are utter ********.
The ACOs will decide whether or not you pay for your treatment, hence the Americanised Insurance based system which has failed so badly in the USA leaving hundreds and thousands without sufficient health care.
How bloody dare they steal our NHS like they have done, with no mandate to do so!
I for one will rejoice when hopefully, they will finally be removed from their selfish, 'profit before people' "governance"

They've asset stripped the UK, widened the gap between rich and poor, decimated the welfare system, attacking the poor, the sick, the needy, the disabled with punitive, crippling measures.
Literally killed over 120. 000 people with the Universal credit system, abandoned the homeless, punished women born in the fifties without due warning, given huge tax rises to the rich and super rich, cut public services to the bone, and sit back laughing at us with the prospect of austerity forever, something Cameron and Osborne planned for in their long term economic plan and which they celebrated at a Mansion House dinner
With Brexit, they have their chance to continue their vicious war against the working class while storing their gains in their tax havens and no EU to reign them in !

How anyone votes for them Is beyond me !

Sadly the most misguided of all.

    The Working Class Tory.

They aspire to be a Tory and yet they will never ever, ever be a member of that class they so aspire to.
If only they could see how far removed they are.

My experience is that they have the view (like all Tories and I'm making a sweeping statement here) that "I'm alright Jack, sod everybody else !)
Had this argument in my local pub with a working class Tory who mouthed those same words with spittle flying out of his mouth!
" As long as I'm alright and my family are alright, I don't care about anyone else ! "

but but the conservatives are putting more money into the NHS in "real terms". Always a favourite quote of mine . Increase NHS funding by £1 and suddenly the real term increase becomes a reality.
