He's our player albeit he's just gone out on loan and has congratulated Hourihane on the win and the goal. He's then retweeted Hourihanes status and wrote "my brother". The status he has retweeted is Hourihane saying how good the win was with him celebrating his goal. It's clear Tuton hasn't had a good time here and has struggled to get anywhere near the side, but to retweet and congratulate a player and beating the side you play for? Seems abit bitter to me.
He's got himself mentioned on here for the first time in months, so it's probably had the desired effect. As for 'brother', past evidence would suggest he and Conor share very little genetically...
He/Shaun was never given a kick in the team, full stop, and there really is nothing else we can say about him is there. I know some Fax fans and they were angry when he left them and they went down below the Conference that season. They said f*k him etc, but if he goes back there and does well, then good luck to him and them.
If he and Conor are good mates, then by all means text him and congratulate him in private. But making a public tweet bigging up a player for scoring against your own employer is both dickish on a personal level, and pretty unprofessional to boot.
He probably knows his career is only heading one way while his "brother" is heading the other so just wants to stay mates with a famous footballer
Not seen it but yeah, totally unnecessary when it's against his parent club, didn't actually realise Tuton was still on our books.
Can't see the comment, I guess he's realised how dickish it was and deleted it. I'd dislike him more for having Sheffield in his profile. Fair enough live there if you don't want to get involved in the town you work in, but don't put it for all to see.
id probably say the people who are offended are the professional offended. Who gives a flying one what a man of inconsequence says to another man of inconsequence
If I was Hourihane and he was calling me his brother, I'd be thinking "hey up! He's what's he after this time? Took ages to get chilli sauce out of that last shirt he borrowed......."
Anybody know when his contract ends? Don't want him mucking us about with six months to go or even worse having to sell him on the cheap.
Speaking of players tweeting other players. I'm still following Oli McBurnie since the non-signing and he likes our players' and club's tweets all the time. Even the academy players, for example, he was tweeting at Dylan Mottley-Henry when he signed a new contract. It reminds me a lot of how Isgrove was doing the same. He's clearly taking an interest in us despite the fact that he's getting some first team games.
I think they might know each other already from coming through the ranks at Bradford. In that particular case.
Hallelujah, finally someone with some sense and perspective of the real world, how refreshing on here for a change as most seem to believe the world begins and ends with Barnsley football club
