Remember that day well. Another huge away following that day stood on the clock end. Think we took 7000+

Yup. Went to that, and Welsh Wales and Aldershot.

Champagne Charlie Nicholas scored a screamer at Highbury

Rememember it well. Stopped off in Watford for pre-match drinks. Sat in the stand. London Met Police ejecting reds fans like there was no tomorrow. Miners strike still running very raw then but fans were also being ejected for the slightest thing.

I was sat in one of the stands at the side as an Arsenal fan friend got the tickets. Fortunately we did not score but I did feel conspicuous as I stayed glued to my seat when Arsenal scored. As I recall we gave a good account of ourselves without threatening an upset.

Mick Clarke had his one and only good game for us. He sported a fine streaked Barnet as well.
