    I was there ,on the Ponty end with my dad. I was 6 years old and sat right at the end of the terracing playing with a brown plastic football keyring dad had bought me cos i couldnt see a thing. If was before the days of all seater stadiums. Nearly 39 000 at Oakwell. I started going regularly in 1967 and i am still disappointed now as i was back then when Barnsley lose. The first team i can really remember was Ironside Parker Murphy Bettany Winstanley Howard Earnshaw Evans Robson Bradbury and George Hamstead. ....
