More than just a fan. Someone who was prepared and more than willing to support his home town club from his own pocket. To the end he had the club's interests at heart ensuring that his legacy will continue. We all knew it was coming but still a very very sad day. Thinking of his family at this time. R.I.P Mr Cryne.
RIP Patrick. He would be on the BFC Mount Rushmore of all of us. He's the reason we've all still got a club to whinge about. I'm glad the club got sold before he left us. It's down to him we now have a billionaire looking after our interests. My thoughts are with his family. If ever there was a time for every single person in Oakwell to give a one minute standing ovation everyone on their feet, it's in the 66th minute this Saturday.
RIP Patrick ... in the end all we can hope for as human beings is that we leave a mark. You've left yours Patrick. Thank you & God bless.
RIP Patrick. Condolences to his family. It's easy to be critical of his stewardship but it's in no small measure that the reason we have a Club to moan about is down to Patrick and the support he had from his family.
Tragic news. Despite knowing it was coming, and even despite the club being in new hands... its a sad day that words can't do justice to. Always A Red.
Devastating news, RIP Mr Cryne. Barnsley will forever be in your debt. Condolences to all the family at this very sad time
Very sad, sincere condolences to his family and friends Many thanks to Patrick for all he did for the football club he loved so sorry he has gone so soon R.I.P.
Thank you, Patrick. You saved my club, one of the most cherished parts of my life and I'll be forever grateful. Love and peace to you, Bryn
