I agree with the sentiment mate but Patrick was Barnsley thru and thru I think leaving it Red is the way he’d want it
Agree with this 100%. Didn't strike me as the sort that would appreciate that, much rather we celebrate his life and everything he did, particularly with regard BFC.
I don’t think that would be a good idea. For lots of people this is a place to turn in comfort at this time. When I saw the news on Twitter I immediately came here as I knew others would be feeling the same way. No-one in my ‘real life’ would know who Patrick is and why it made me so upset but I knew everyone here would feel the same way and wish to pay their respects.
Pay your respects in words and feelings. If you’re able, turn up to the match on Saturday and show your respect by supporting whatever tribute the Cryne family and club see fit.
Very very sad day for us all, but life goes on. The best tribute would be the flag on the half way line prior to kick off followed by a gutsy fully committed performance by the lads in Red by way of a tribute to a great man, hopefully in front of our biggest crowd of the season.
