The only reason they'd move to Premier League clubs is for the money. Of course.

Brighton are on the verge of signing a centre half from Charlton for £8 million so I reckon that their interest in Lindsay will have subsided.

    2 differences from last January:-

    1) we have new owners who don't need to sell anyone to make the books balance.
    2) he has 2 1/2 years left on a contract.

If its true, its a polite "no" me thinks.

I get where you're coming from, but the books are still the books regardless of who owns the club.

The business account and the owners personal wealth are two totally different things.

If the right money comes in, the players will still be off.

I think it’s good value for him but there’s other factors to consider.

First off we’re in a relegation battle, can we afford to lose (in my opinion) our second best player this season behind Williams?

Is there a replacement lined up? Selling him leaves us with 3 natural centre backs & Angus has some issues keeping him out of the team.

I’ve heard Angus, Jackson & Pinnock all speak about how Lindsay’s such a composed player & easy to play alongside, just because Jackson & Pinnock have both done well at the side of Lindsay doesn’t mean they’d do as well together. Neither are anywhere near as good in possession as Lindsay.

I remember saying something about how organised he was when he first played for us: http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/posts/2010120/

So I feel you have a good point here. If he helps organise the defense that is a big difference. Individual quality isn't the only thing. Getting the team to work well is a major factor in the overall performance, and if Lindsay helps with that, he shouldn't be let go so easily.

If they ever had an interest in the first place.
