Maybe they've just thought it more appropriate to leave it to people who knew him better to do the talking like Hecky
Exactly- I feel like they’d worry about coming across as insensitive due to the exceptionally brief period they knew him for.
since the announcement there's been zero communication from them, nothing at all. I was expecting them to be paraded on the pitch maybe a Xmas message, basically a bit of PR. This week our club and it's fans have lost it's linch pin ,it's figure head and when family's loose an integral family member somebody usually steps up and comes to the fore and gives some reassurance that everything's going to be alright. I know that they might just be being respectful or just see it as a business rather than an institution and passion like Patrick did but none the less I would have expected something since the takeover regardless of the current situation. I know some people might not PR or feel the need for the owners to talk to us but maybe that's just what made our relationship with PC special, the fact that he would address us and keep us informed etc just like he did when rimmo passed away
They own the club & the club have made official statements , do you expect them all to make individual statements or the club speak in one voice ? I think the latter is more dignified
I think they've done the right thing not making a statement. I don't think it would have come across well, any sympathy would have sounded fake as they didn't know him for very long and the only reason they knew him at all was to buy the club he loved off of him due to his illness.
I don’t expect them to comment on what’s happened regarding Mr Crynes sad news. I am however shocked that since the takeover they haven’t set out anything at all other than the press conference when they took over.
