Cavare's action was disgraceful yesterday and I hope he got the full wrath of the dressing room and Hecky afterward. A real shame as I thought he'd looked alright up to then and in previous games. Thiam on the other hand I've lost patience with. I was willing to give him time to adjust and get his shooting/effort boots on but he hasn't done in the 6 months he's been here. 1 penalty for a striker is pathetic and that cameo yesterday after the rest of the team had worked their ******** off for 80 mins was unacceptable.
Normally a decent poster but this is absolutely dross. Straight to sacking the CEO after Cavare loses his and gets sent off. He’s been very good for us up until that point. As for Thiam, against Sunderland he put the same level of effort Moore did yesterday. Granted unless he’s got very good reason his effort levels yesterday were completely unacceptable but you can’t sack the CEO for it.
Cavare is a class player - and will have learnt a big lesson from the Fulham game. Thiam is a good player - who is often played out of position - and against Fulham he was asked to plough on up front on his own. A thankless task. As for Ganaye. He's brought Cavare and Thiam in - which is great. My concern - and concern of everyone else I spoke to at the Fulham match - is that we are not bringing in enough of our targets - and we are not bringing them in quick enough so Hecky can get them up to speed and into the first team.
Have to agree. He was only on for the last 10-15 & he didn't bother to run or close anything down. He'd be sitting in a cold bath of p!ss, next to Cavere all day today.
Thiam was so slow yesterday I thought he'd picked up a knock, he also looks to have put a bit of timber on,
I couldn't decide if his or George's arse was the fattest I'd seen since Dale Jennings left. To be fair Moncur put a shift in at least.
Thiam - like all other players at the club - has his fitness and speed continually monitored by the club. It's ludicrous to suggest he's not fit enough. In my opinion he's playing out of position - playing in a role he's not used to. He plays more like an attacking midfielder or winger - he's definitely not an out and out striker. YouTube clips of him seem to suggest that he's better attacking from a deeper position.
I agree with this. Cavare looks a decent player and will be deservedly punished for yesterday. Thiam looks disinterested and unfit which is more unacceptable in my opinion.
I think cavare is a very good player and hasn’t had a bad game for us at all. Yesterday he saw red and made a stupid mistake. He’s not the first player to do so.
That shouldn't be too taxing a job for someone....... Aah - I get it now, he's trying to emulate Dale Jennings.......
I don't care what monitor he wears. It is clear from watching him with his big fat arse and jiggly legs that he isn't fit enough. The fact he is puffing his cheeks out and blowing out of his arse after jogging a few yards adds to that too. And I don't care what position he prefers to play in, that's absolutely no excuse not to try and yesterday the lazy ****** wasn't trying.
Agree. The late, great, Paul Futcher had a record of doing something "stupid" like this every so often. They're actions you can't justify nor adequately explain otherwise, but flaws even exist in good players.
Jay is normally one of the most intelligent and articulate posters on here. However, blaming a member of the board of directors is a bit daft Cavres actions yesterday were atrocious
That's an ironic post. Cavare's actions were petulant and a massive overreaction too. Thiam gets 10 mins or less most games and is asked to play up top on his own. That's not his game at all, his best performanecessary have been when we've had two up front. He's looked a player, and should start in a two with Moore. I don't get this Bradshaw thing at all to be honest, he'd be third or fourth choice for me ifor we had 3 other decent strikers.
Bit harsh, he's been excellent since he came here. Just lost his head, it happens. Thiam did nothing. Moore was fantastic yesterday, I think his partnership with Bradshaw could be great, just a pity it was curtailed by the sending off. We were well worth our lead at half time against one of the form teams of the league. Even in the second half, Davies didn't have much to do till injury time. The team as a whole deserves a great deal of credit from yesterday.
Futch used to have a couple a season. His own teammates or manager weren’t immune when the red mist dropped. Massive overreaction about Cavare. He lost his head. Others like Steve Cooper also were known to go medieval on the opposition on occasion.
