Off to Vancouver for 4 days next week. In and out job, but hoping to venture out at night. Anybody got any tips for getting about?

Marc try the sky train, Buses and Uber.
Granville Island, Postmark and Parallel 49 for the ale and snap.
Very good music scene, pretty sure something will be happening while you're there if you're into that.
    Fantastic city mate enjoy it!

Granville island is good, I agree. If you can knock off early one afternoon go skiing or show-shoeing to Grouse Mountain. It's only 45 minutes away and open until 10pm. It's Dine Out Vancouver festival at the moment - lots of restaurants with fixed priced menu deals. Cannucks at home on Tuesday and Thursday if you fancy some NHL. Public transport is ace (£1.30 to get to the ski slopes).

Stay away from Downtown Eastside (DTES).

Use the transit. Only $7 from the airport to the city. $35 in Taxi
Earls sports bars or Cactus Club should definitely be sampled.

Grouse Mountain - might be a bit snowy this time of year, but I I went in May and got the ferry across the bay, then a bus to the bottom and climbed to the top and back in a day.

Awesome city, friendly as **** and all walkable.

Japanadog do Japanese style hotdogs, really good they are and not expensive.

Hearing lots about how friendly it is. Good to know. Also a $hit load of real ale houses looking at Google Maps!

Good striker for the Dutch international side in the late 60s was Van Couver.
