And a more experienced / strong assistant manager to add to the staff. All the top managers have a top support staff.
No. He's had too many obstacles in his path to judge him and whether he is good enough properly. Therefore, If he takes us into L1 then so be it. Staying up this season with the squad limitations he was handed was always going to be a battle against the odds. But if relegation were to happen, the collection of players we have now ( exc loans ) are a decent bunch for L1 standards and we should be looking at a strong campaign next season. So if we were struggling by Christmas then reluctantly, a re-assessment at that time may produce a different answer.
Using the Rotherham comparison, they we're worse than us last year and they seem to be doing ok with the same manager this time round.
Not yet, no, but he can't be given an unlimited amount of time. I know he's working with some sub-standard players for this level but he has persevered with a formation that has (if a stat on Twitter is to be believed) taken us on our longest run ever without scoring more than one goal in a game.
We have played at least 2 different formations in that time so don't see how you can pin that on the formation. We haven't scored because we lack quality in the final 3rd not because of formation. We have brought in 2 strikers and 2 midfielders to try and address that. Time will tell if they can make the difference.
Sacking Hecky will be a step backwards. I think he should be given until next Christmas, whichever league we're in.
It would be very Harsh to sack Paul even if we went down. However I do think a argument could be made for a fresh start if we did.
