Wonder if our hand is forced as part of the loan agreement? We must not in future though play Williams & Gardner together, too similar and a waste of a place, should have been Mallan!
Only seems two minutes ago that people were of the opinion that the club were showing big ambition by trying to sign him permanently? What's changed? I haven't seen him play this side of new year.
OP is right though in that it should be one or the other, Gardner or Williams, not both. Far too negative playing both.
I think both can play when we play two out and out wingers. But the obvious thing to do is put Knasmuller in the middle for one of them.
Without Williams we’ve looked more solid in midfield with gardener playing the holding role with either Mallan or moncur along side him
Your asking if the best player this season has to play, this sums our fans up I’m afraid, 3 weeks ago everyone wanted him to sign him permanent deal and quite rightly so but now he shouldn’t be in the side before Gardner or mallan is a ridiculous opinion for me he’s a must in these next 2 months if we want to stay up !!
That's your opinion for me he has had some good games and some shockers give possesson away quite alot recent weeks Gardner has been good.
He should not walk straight back into the team and alter the balance of that team. He was out of the team through his own fault! I would want him permanent, but that didn't happen, so even less right to walk back in immediately. If he is so brilliant, then drop Gardner for him, but he hasn't done anything wrong during Williams SUSPENSION.
He has made the most accurate passes in our team this season though so I don’t see where you get that from and has also mad the 2nd most amount of tackles in the whole league, for me that sort of proves he has to be the main man in there he’s been consistently good Gardner has played well twice all season, I know who I prefer but I respect your opinion
Well we havnt won since Sunderland so he obviously isn’t doing that great like everyone else, IMO we want on our best run with Williams Potts Moncur midfield Isgrove and Hammill/Barnes out wide we need to get back to that maybe put mallan in for Potts
I have to agree with the OP, they should not be playing together, we`re just not inventive enough with them both in, I`ll leave up to Hecky to pick which one. I do believe Mallan is a talent that will get better though.
Garden/Williams ; should of taken Gardner off in 2nd half for malan or moncur to try drive us up the field too many times there both too deep when we have a chance to push forward. We needed 3 points today and after an encouraging 1st half we took out foot off. Big chance that today against a poor Wednesday team.
