Nah. I don't feel any of them. Relieved definitely. We all know that the job involves a budget smaller than anyone else's, selling our best players etc. Rather than making allowances for a manager that can't work within those restraints, let's have one that's determined to succeed INSPITE of them. Onwards and upwards!
Who knows if that model is still the plan going forward - You would hope, well guess we have seen, players given longer term contracts, which makes them more valuable and to an extend abit harder to prize away. Was PH the right man? Take away the Barnsley connection, he would have been sacked months ago. Fans have started to turn on him, and I can see this is a blessing in disguise. Saves the board taking any flak from sacking him. Leeds job will make or break him. Prove he is a manager or just a coach.
I am disappointed but unless he had turned it round this month he would have been sacked. I wish him luck as he will need it at Leeds. What is the likelihood that he will last until May 2019. Leeds Managers(or head coaches even) do not have a particularly long shelf life.
I'm pretty sure they must set a few million aside each year just for manager turnover. I think Monk has been the one to hold out the longest over the last few years? And even that wasn't such a very long tenure.
If we've got £400k for him it's a great bit of business he was a failing manager/Head coach in my opinion 1 more game away from the sack his last 12 months have been abysmal the people on here giving it he's one of our own in a sycophantic puppy love pathetic way need to see their blind loyalty only travelled one way I'm glad he's gone
I'm stunned to be honest. There is something not right at Oakwell for so many to leave to go a very insecure club. Hecky will get a big pay off when Leeds sack him but the rest of the backroom staff are taking a bigger risk then he is. At least at Leeds Paul won't have all the star players sold and have to replace them with League 1&2 players new players signed this window excepted. Managers and players come and go the Club is permanent. COYR.
I’m wondering if the owners will Chalk **** on it come May and hand it back to the Cryne family Too good to be true - bet they don’t think that now
Sitting in the cold at away matches, watching us get beat whilst passing the ball sideways and backwards is bad enough without the chorus of "he's one of own" ringing in our ears. It's like having a local manager is the height of our ambition.
