Sacked because he refused to work with the spreadsheet at Brentford.

Did he categorically refuse to work with the spreadsheet, or did he just disagree with the balance of influence it was given over and above traditional scouting methods? Because that's the impression I get from reading his (not always reliable, admittedly) Wiki entry.

He left because he disagreed with the statistical analysis model that was run at Brentford. Not sure how/if it differs from ours.

Not sure but I’ve every confidence (from all reports) whatever input he had at Brentford it wouldn’t be any greater here.

I think the guy's an absolutely obvious candidate worth considering. Likes quick football and has a point to prove.

Very poor at Forest not my choice. Constantly played players out of position.

If I remember correctly he was told he would have no say in who brentford signed, he was just there to coach and pick the team from the players provided, sithi.

Is that the case though? , I know the spreadsheet comes up with players that fit certain parameters however i was under the impression that the head coach/ manager is fully involved in recruitment and always had final say whether they wanted a particular player or not, don't think that's the case at brentford or it wasn't , sithi.
