I hope I am as wrong as I was then, Mr JLWBL. I don't know if you were in attendance this afternoon but if not I think that even someone of your legendary positivity would have been just a little downcast! I'm often wrong about the 'osses as well btw, but that's a different matter!

I have never tried to pass myself off as an all seeing oracle, especially based on a reserve fixture, and see nothing wrong with being an optimist.
My record of predictions is as bad as anyone's. I didn't think we'd be relegated under Danny Wilson (until the infamous Leeds match) and was convinced Davey would relegate us in his last full season.

Perhaps because watching Williams and Gardner is so dispiriting. For what it's worth I thought Mallan was excellent against Fulham. Can take a decent free kick and corner too.

Id take Mallan or Potts in the middle rather than persist with the Gardner Williams combo.

In my opinion if we can keep the majority of this squad together for next season in league one, then we could have two fantastic seasons coming up, we’ll absolutely piss league one, the momentum of winning most weeks and players gaining experience will see us have a very good season the year after too, just like we did last time and like Sheffield United are doing now, unfortunately in January 2020 most of the squad will only have 6 months left on contracts and piss off for next to nowt again, then we’ll be in the ***** once more, on the other hand if we stay up this season, we’ve got another relegation battle to look forward to.

mallan is poor people only like him cause he’s good at corners it makes me laugh how people actually think he’s going to make a difference but, to be fair Potts may not look pleasing on the eye but he’s affective and I like him he brings different attributes to the team and I think we could do with that in a midfield 3 of him Gardner and Williams

I don’t think either are up to championship football but I think Potts got games because he was a worker, who’d battle & is decent in the air & although there’s often little quality at the end he could break with the ball & get us up the pitch. Outside of a decent set piece I’m not really sure what Mallan offers

Mallan looks like potentially one of the best players we have on the books...give him some game time and he'll prove it.

I also hear we have a forecast of fire and brimstone soon, the apocalypse is nigh. We're doomed, doomed.

Bloody hell, grave robbers, not sure why they'd dig my dad up and lay him in the oakwell stands, must've been a bit grim after 15 years.

I can understand what you guys are saying who went to the under23 match, but maybe they did not put the effort in as it wasn’t a do or die match and did not want to get injured do you think.

Fair point to make RR, but I think folks know when players of ability are just having an 'easy' one. Some of them should have looked a bit classier - even at less than full tilt. What was on offer looked more like players of only League One ability playing against a competent but only workmanlike Everton side. I may be totally wrong - and I've already been mocked for being a doomsayer - but I thought it was a worrying display.
