The manager at the start of two of the last three relegation seasons were also internal promotions (Wilson and Flitcroft).

Fair point in terms of wins only - but I do think his team selection was positive as we battered them for the first hour and hopefully he will learn after this - but time will tell - I just think he needs a chance rather than a merry go round manager or short term one - whatever the outcome I will still be there

You are right , but our history of success has been thriugh internal promotions , even the one befote the three mentioned was Hunter who was internally promoted , you have togo back 40 years to Alan Clarke for the last import to succeed

What’s the point of a short term manager.Come summer a new manager will not know who to sell, who to buy as he will not know what he has got, then we get left behind with any new signings and end up with the dregs.

The exact words in the Mirror are " the struggling Championship club's hierarchy have been impressed
by his ( Harsley's) work in the role and have placed him at the head of their wish list, alongside Garry Monk
and Wycombe chief Gareth Ainsworth." Apart from the fact that I'm struggling to understand if other candidates
can be alongside if you're at the head, if that is true, he could be an obvious choice to succeed Heckingbottom.
Allied to the fact that from what some of the players have been saying re- that he's managed to unify the
dressing room and that they are all determined to get behind " Harsy" and give of their best, to dig us out of the mess
we find ourselves in, he could well be given the chance to do the job on a full time basis.
Although the majority of us were disappointed with the draw on Saturday, Wednesdays 2-0 win against promotion chasing Derby County last night , adds some credibility to his ability to select the right team that we will need to get the requisite number of points, to avoid the drop.

Nowt against the bloke, but for me we need new eyes and ideas. Personally I would go for Ross, continuity is good to a point but surely eventually you get the 'Norfolk' effect

Just want a manager who will stop playing 2 defensive midfielders and be a bit more positive
