Main points that stood out : - Held talks with Jack Ross ( now confirmed to be staying at St Mirren ) - " Initial " shortlist had Gareth Ainsworth, Uwe Rosler, Paul Hurst, Darrell Clarke and several European Coaches. - Harsley a " serious contender " if he's given the game and wins on Tuesday. Really hoped we pursued Hurst more think he would have done a good job. Roll on whoever is appointed !
I'm more concerned that the departed head coach is touting the existing coaches still at the cub to be given the opportunity. I really think we need a step change in our approach and style of play, given more time could Harsley do that? I'd expect the coaches at the club would have a similar formula, especially if the club has a"DNA" outine of how we should best play. Though I can't possibly believe someone would have dictated this current style of play we've had in the last 12 months. I think a new broom may be the best for everyone.
**** what Paul Heckingbottom says or thinks. If I were the Club, I would be making it very clear that he needs to keep his beak out of our business.
