Don't worry, I'm sure time will show that Mourinho was just holding our man back.

Yeah I'd hate us to be second in the league...

Not aggressive just a question. If we were playing dull boring sh.ite but we’re winning most games, you’d be okay with that?

I'd be chuffed if we were winning most games. Wouldn't care how we played.

Id take that for the next couple of months for sure, but I dont get why boring and winning are so often linked. Seen enough of us playing boring sh*te and losing and the times when we have had some success under Clarke Hunter Wilson (1) Bassett, Richie and Hecky pre January 2017 we have been playing entertaining football and winning
I dont ever remember a successful Barnsley team that played boring stuff and kept winning 1-0

Fair enough and I think it’s probably a view shared by many/most on this Board. It’s just I don’t share it. Setting aside the fact it still remains a dream of mine to see us beat Leeds at Elland Road with a 97th minute goal where the Ref rises at the far post before powering a bullet header past the keeper, before celebrating in front of the Kop, I’d still want to see us playing ‘proper’ football.

Mourinho has no excuse for not doing so having managed 4 of the richest clubs on the planet and still produced teams you wouldn’t cross the road to watch.

What.... winning matches and not worrying about relegation ?.
Im not having a go and you also might have been joking a bit as well. But we need to start winning if we want to stay up, and boring 1-0's will do if thats what it takes.

Completely understand your point of view, but ultimately Mourinho will be remembered as one of the greatest managers ever. Poor entertainment for the neutral but doubt Chelsea, Madrid, Inter and porto fans cared one bit when they were winning trophies. That aside, we're Barnsley, at the moment we're playing boring football and losing! So winning would make a lovely change.

Is it likely that our Jose will also move into the Lowry (in the short term at least)

It got pretty turgid at times under Bobby Collins. I remember a 15 match unbeaten run with lots of 1-0s and 0-0s in it.
