And we're back in League One, well I'd expect to see a reduction in the season ticket prices because I for sure won't be shelling out over £300 to renew.
Well I for one will be renewing and will look forward to another season following our club. Not a better fan alert just reality. Up the reds.
Yep I agree. If we go down, and I think we will, so be it. Don't see why being in a different league would make me stop going.
And silkstone stop being a tart you’re a red and always will be. We have to accept the pain every now and then to enjoy the good times. You reds.
I was thinking about this the other day. If we stay in the Championship and continue to be an experiment in doing it on the cheap, then I'd hope that the new owners will price season tickets to include the "we're just fecking about with stuff, so it could be proper crap" discount.
Our tickets are about the cheapest in the league (and the league below), presumably because the previous owner believed that they ought to be. I'd be surprised if the new owners think the same way. Think some are in for a shock on the pricing. BTW - I believe they're excellent value, and even with the increase I'm expecting look forward to renewing for next season, regardless of the league we're in. Never understand the mentality of folk that threaten to withdraw their support because the team isn't doing as well as they think it should.
It's a fair point if we somehow managed to stay up then the entertainment on offer next year would probably be worse than if we go down. Not that if we go down I expect to walk league one in any whay but I would hope we could muster a few more home wins. Some people will talk about the standard of football but for me after the last 12 months I just want to see us win again.
22nd year on spin as a season ticket holder next season for me, I’m expecting a price hike, and us to be in third division but I’m a Barnsley fan and I’m already looking forward to it.
I will be renewing what ever division we are in & I do not expect a reduction as I think our season tickets will already be one of the cheapest whatever league & if we go down & people want to stay away that is their choice but the season ticket price should not be the reason
People's priorities change, they may not have as much income, working weekends etc. TBH I don't see why the new owners cant't try something similar to Huddersfield with season tickets priced at say £150, however a certain number have to be sold by X date or otherwise the price increases to say £300 or £350. The incentive is then there for the fans to take up the option but the risk minimised to the owners that should the sales target not be reached they will get the increased price.

It's £450 at Weds ! I'll be renewing no matter what. That first half was as bad as I've seen but the second half gave me an inkling of hope.
Begging letters? - I think that says all we need to know if you consider a renewal invitation a begging letter Giving this post more respect than its worth £300 is pretty good value for a Season ticket whether in the Championship or League 1 so I will be renewing regardless of where we finish - unless the new owners do something bizarre and double prices for example
