Our special one needs to make some changes, sack off playing tweedle dum and tweedle dee in midfield and bradshaw needs a few games rested. Mills for me isnt good enough the sooner jackson gets fully fit the better... i like the 4-3-3 though .. suits potts we just need some creativity with mallan or moncur. Id give mallan a game purely cos he has a decent set piece...

    Townsend

    Yiadom jackson lindsay pinnillos

    Williams
    Mallan potts

    Thiam Moore Mcburnie

    Bench

    Adobaejero
    Gardner
    Moncur
    Cavare
    Mahoney

Why on earth would Jackson just waltz back in? As poor as Mills was at distribution last night I don't think he has put a foot wrong defensively so far. Might be wrong.

Cos hes crap .. absolitely woeful theres a reason notts forest couldnt wait to get rid.. he looks slow.. bad on the ball .. bad distribution.. cant tap ball in from 2 yard .. i could go on..

Jackson was our best defender by a mile until he got injured so yes i would like him back in as soon as possible

Is Jackson fully match fit yet - has he played any full games for the U23's?

Id like him to be back in the defence but rushing him back too soon might not be a smart move

I'd play monur in his natural role and bring Thiam on as sub, I'm OK with mills even though he wasn't good yesterday other than that I'm with you.

We had our best run of the season with Jackson & Lindsay at centre back, they looked a really solid partnership to me.

I’d like to see Hedges back but as an option off the bench. I’ve never been impressed by him when he’s started but he nearly always makes an impact off the bench.

I’d be careful about changing the team based on substitution’s against a tired Burton side who played on Saturday when we didn’t. Yes Thiam & Potts improved things but would they have from the start? It’s a lot easier to impress when you come on in the second half & all the opposition is interested in is sitting back & trying to soak up pressure. I’d imagine Isgrove & Hammill would’ve looked a lot better if they were the ones running at tired legs

its a hard call, no one really deserves a shirt more than the next man, from front to back. It’s just a case of hoping a change in personal will bring us a change in fortunes, rather than knowing it will, we’ve got a imbalanced squad of bog standard at best players, and we’re clutching at straws hoping someone out of the normal pool of starters might just have something about them, but to be honest I think ever player is just much of a muchness .

It’s frustrating knowing that the slightest turn in fortune and confidence would shoot us up the table with ease looking at the ***** the other candidates are also serving

The Referee for Saturday's game is Jerry Simpson. He officiated when we beat Burton 4-2
in October. Let's hope that's a good omen.?

Providing injuries don't change and he goes to what appears to be his favourable formation. Maybe...?

I do wonder had we been given the disallowed goal or a penalty and scored - what the reaction on here would have been? Football is a funny game of fine margins sometimes.

Just my opinion but think mills has been good so far, last night yeah poor, but dont think the defence is the big issue is not putting the ball in the net at other end is the major concern for me ,

A lot seem to think that Moncur & Mallan will feature because Mourinho teams typically play 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 so they expect Morais to go the same way with him saying it’s his favoured systems but Mourinho sides very rarely feature what I’d class as lightweight players, he likes his sides to be physically strong & to have tall players like how we finished last night.

Mourinho got rid of De Bruyne & Salah when they were young & weren’t physically developed & he got rid of Mata at Chelsea & Mikhitarian (forgive the spelling) at Man Utd.

His 3 subs last night was in my opinion him taking off the 3 physically weakest players in the teams. Don’t be surprised to see a lot of hoof ball & physically strong players getting starts.

I’d be shocked if Mallan & Moncur both started in a game together, just too lightweight in my opinion & I think Morais will see it the same way.

    Do
Do you not think it wise to have a keeper on the bench & also have 7 subs instead of 5 ?
