We would be absolutely nowhere near the bottom three

Agreed. If we had got him four months sooner and he'd stayed fit, we would be comfortably mid table. Right now we would be with the likes of Ipswich with a boring nothing to play for until the end of the season, and I would have been delighted.

With him the solid start of the season we had could have rolled into some proper momentum.

We’d have been closer to the top half at least.

    Oh well.

Maybe not. If we’d done better he may have gone somewhere better and sooner

It's likely we would be better off as I struggle to see how anyone could have done worse than Bradshaw.

Hence the reason I went berserk about it in the summer !!!
Followed by literally hundreds of posts by me and others discussing the dire situation we were in because we didn’t have options in the strike-force.
A squad was built in the summer - but they forgot the strike force.
As usual I got berated for those comments - but again it’s turned out to be true.
AND - I told him on Twitter - when he did eventually sign - that the mistake back then has cost us the season.

With this squad as it is now - with maybe a goalkeeper - then given time for the players to settle in and get to know each other from the start of the season - we should be looking at 10th or above.

Absolutely crazy crazy season and I’ll be glad to see the back of it.

    Exactly that.
Barnes, McBurnie would have both been recalled in January, this board would still be moaning about it in 5 years time.

Oh absolutely, I mean it’s impossible to do worse than someone with 11 goals for a struggling side. It’s all Bradshaw's fault he’s not 6 foot 3 with bags of pace playing in tactics that sometimes didn’t suit him.

McBurnie is in a different class to Bradshaw, but he's in a different class to most of our team, maybe with the exception of Yiadom & Williams.

Ouch, his 11 goals two of which weren't his at all. A couple in the cup and a string of awful performances. Tactics that don't suit him? He is rubbish in the air has no strength no 0ace and can't beat a man. How exactly can you play to suit him? He seems to me to be a forward who will score if you put it on a plate for him. Now it's not his fault he doesn't have the attributes required to cut it at this level but unfortuanley he has had the best part of 2 seasons and hasn't shown he can.
Now that's my opinion, would love to be proven wrong.

Not really sure the point you're making, Nudge. I've never panicked about our situation - getting Oli across the line in the summer would have been nice, but it didn't happen. I still thought we had enough to get us through - hadn't accounted for Hecky losing the plot with formation/selection and our only natural goalscorer losing his touch, but I still thought we'd be reight.
