Reminds me of a 5 a side tournament I played in for work when I was in my late teens. First match, lad hit the floor, taken off to hospital with a bad head injury (he had fractured his skull). 2nd match, lad hit the wall, several stitches required in a fractured cheek. We were third game; I was bundled into the corner and went down in a heap screaming in agony. The poor ref, who was a nervous wreck at this point, came over and grabbed my hands to lift me up and check for another head injury. He nearly passed out himself as my fractured wrist wobbled about in his hands.

    That hurt a bit.

I was killed during a match in the Barnsley Sunday league in 1999 playing for Swaithe versus the Flying Dutchman. I simply got up, dusted myself off and finished the game. Still managed half a gallon before driving home. Bloody wimps these modern day footballers.

Broke my jaw. Lad hit me from behind, he took exception to a few challenges that I had done on him. Finished the match and played the following week. It did finish my modelling career however!
