I've noticed there is one reds fan on twitter saying how he's heard the weather's terrible in Hull, but the locals say not. My weather apps say rain and snow. Are we waiting on an inspection?
I'm just watching news. It's telling a tale of havoc. Schools closed, trains cancelled, traffic jams etc etc. All for a few centimetres of snow. It's as if the reporters are being asked to go out and make it sound as grim as possible.
Snowed this morning, now all melted. Sun is out and the sky is blue. Possibly more snow forecast later but at the moment it's very really nice day
I'm sat in a pub in Hull and have been since 11 and it's been bright sunshine since 10.30ish. Game will be on.
As much as fans are treated like snowflakes for a bit of snow, I would be shocked if it's called off. The way the media have gone on about it for the past week, I expected much more than the little bit of snow we've had today. Anything that's come down has melted quickly too.
Bloody Hell What Is The Problem? Just listening to that ***** Jeremy Vine. FFS it's February, Winter, It's cold and there is a wee bit of snow. Wow! Just deal with it.
There was a video clip in the Hull Mail online showing the chaos with cars driving through almost half a centimetre of snow and below if the link works shows just how deep the snow fall is. Still in todays H&S concious days that square looks slippery so who knows
Met Office - 60% chance of light snow around 17:00 but then partially cloudy until around 21:00 when there's a 30% chance of more light snow.
I listen to Vine quite a lot and sometimes think he lives in a different, sheltered world. One phone in was about drinking and it was obvious that he was unaware that some people think nothing of going out and drinking a gallon of beer in a session. He seemed quite shocked even though he's obviously university educated. Possibly just got his head down and didn't do the social side?
Fitzy I've noticed that myself. Heard similar. He could not understand people drinking 3 pints in one session. Comes across as a complete weed who has possibly never farted in public.
I've driven from Norwich to Melton Mowbray this morning........by any definition, that is East, but no Beast was apparent and naff all snow. It seems this widespread chaos being reported on BBC news amounts to a snow flurry in Kent.
Most of the snow seems to have been dropped where i am in Boston and surrounding area. Im right inbetween Hull and Norwich. Weve had about 6 inches so far
