    I was watching " The Robe" with my mate at the Gaumont cinema in Donny and
    we had a £10 bet on which set of horses would win the Chariot race, black or white.
    I selected Charlton Heston and the black horses. After they had won and my mate
    had paid up, he asked what had motivated me to choose the black team. I told him that
    they had won last time out at the Odeon the week before.

    I saw a sign in the bookies window that said "open Sunday 11-2".
