A fortunate spell at Swansea, a total disaster everywhere he’s been after

Allowed to spend a fortune at Boro and Gibson say first hand how bad he is and had to get rid

Always going to happen.. not going to go down with a wiper. We still have enough games to save ourselves, if we deserve to, we will..

What’s wrong with what he has said there?

I think "arrogant nasty little b@st@rd" is a bit extreme.
But if that interview had basic English subtitles, they would read 'Just pay my contract up and I'll be off because I'm done here'.
A winner never quits, a quitter never wins and all that.

Yeah it does but if it’s happening behind his back, regardless of what you might think of him, he’s bound to be pissed off

I’m not sure how you can quantify one spell as fortunate and another as a disaster as opposed to merely unfortunate.

Yes, Leeds finished 7th or thereabouts having gone on a terrible run but they had a very impressive season under Monk prior to the awful collapse.

If Monk is appointed then I think Birmingham stand a far better chance of survival than they did under Cotterill.

IT is poor form to be approaching the replacement for a man still in the job.
Though I have no opinion on him, positive or negative.
We just need three men, to manage three teams to finish below us this season, and I hoped/expected that he'd be one of them.

Steve Gibson totally regrets appointing him. He’s a wrecking ball.

Steve Gibson is hardly an oracle. He has appointed plenty of managers who have gone on to fail in his eyes. I’m not writing Monk off based on a Gibson sound bite.

Just my opinion but really rate Monk. Got Swansea playing proper football and did the same with Leeds until the last couple of games where they fell out of the play offs.

I'm not saying he'd keep Brum up cos a good manager doesn't always suit the situation but he'd be a solid appointment for someone in our league with a bit of ambition.

    Just an opinion.

Very much matches my thoughts on the situation. Cotterill's sacking doesn't do us any favours.

Probably the only down-side to yesterday's events for us. With Cotterill in charge Brum were certs for the drop in my opinion.

We may or may not rate whoever they replace him with but it's unlikely that it will be anyone as bad.
