Honestly, the bad ones fade away, if I got worried about seeing us win regularly, let alone playing well then I’d never go back. Like how mothers naturally forget how traumatic childbirth is. That’s supporting tarn, but it’s every weekend, not every 9 months.
Bromsgrove hands down Though Oxford away in our promo season to the Prem when everyone was still drunk might have been up there in other circumstances!
Can it be a period of play ? Last 7 minutes against Ipswich- 3 up and drew 3-3 - calamitous defending
The one that always sticks in my mind for some reason was vs Hartlepool at Oakwell, early seventies I think. 0-0 with neither team having a shot on goal as I remember. We were so bored that we spent our time walking right round the ground on the same terrace level ( you could do it in those days just had to have a good look round) - winner was the one who got the furthest before another member of the sparse crowd wouldn’t move for you.
I was absolutely battered that day and had a brilliant time. I don’t remember anything of the match at all. Probably for the best.
I was going to say that! Keith Hill setting up for a goalless draw and we end up losing 1-0 with a 76 year old Clive Platt notching a 90th minute winner. After that game I wanted Hill gone after fully backing him up to that point.
