Remember letting in the three vividly and the lads turning to mush. Wasn’t sure whether my memory had tarred Watson.

    It’s nearly 22 years to the day - 9th March 1996 - Never forget.

Can't have been as rattled as David Preece at St James's Park 2010.

Man City away in the cup, abysmal.

Mine was November 1989. Blackburn Rovers away. It was Clarkie's second spell in charge.
We got absolutely mullered 5-1 and a fat bloke called Simon Garner absolutely tore our defence
to pieces. Can't be sure, but if I remember correctly, Alan Clarke got the tin tack shortly afterwards.
Next worse was Man Utd away in our Premiership season when we went down 7-0. When the last
goal hit our net, Scholes went to the Man Utd fans behind the goal holding up seven fingers and grinning
like cat whilst " mouthing" the word seven over and over. From that moment on, I detested the bloke. Showed not an ounce of compassion for a group of players who whilst giving all they had got to give, apart from around three, were clearly overwhelmed by the occasion. I can still picture " Stumpy" trying to stop Giggs and Cole, bless him.

Never saw that game but I did see Watson fall apart in front of my eyes

I think this may have been Workington (may well have been a different season - btw I am old) same scoreline 0-0 I believe but the 90 minutes seemed like 90 years - was so bad that I think I'd rather have been at the dentists (without any anaesthetic)

Ipswich 4 Barnsley 2 Wembley 2000 if Higgy had took that 1st penalty, ho well. It wasn't the worst performance but it was the most upsetting.

Wednesday at home 06/07 season always sticks in my mind. There usually pretty lucky against us but that day they absolutely played us off the park, and they weren't even any good! We were just so *****.

Letting four in at Stockport. Keith Curle scored an own-goal and I think he laughed.

    Spackman's last game.

    Altrincham.

I promised never to go to another away game after we conceded four at Coventry. Not sure of the year but I was sick of it.

A watershed moment too, a lot went wrong after that.

At least we got to old Wembley, but that day bloody hurt.

When Robbie Williams played in midfield!

I hardly ever leave games early but I was back at my mum's by the time the final whistle went!

I was there for the 5-1 debacle away at Crawley.

Burton and Heckingbottom in temporary charge, that sticks out for me.

Didn't Clarke get the shove after the 7-0 away at West Brom? That was grim. Travelled up to the midlands from Colchester as I was a student down there back then and only made it to a few games. Got back in time to have the piss ripped mercilessly in the student union bar.

However, Altrincham tops it for me. Walked back to the car piss wet through convinced we would hear news of Johnson's sacking on the way home.

That was bad. Jay Tabb ran us ragged if I remember correctly.

Preston away a few years ago was awful, James Bailey had probably the worst 45 minutes I've ever seen from a player in a red shirt.

6-1 away to Grimsby under Thordason in the snow, Rankin on loan from us scored and goaded our fans. Left at half time.
