We played “tipy tapy” under LJ and were rock bottom of L1 at Christmas 2015 with the best squad in L1. I think that Pep is massively assisted by the unbelievable talent at his disposal which adds to his already excellent coaching ability.

He's worked absolute wonders with Sterling so clearly he's very good at getting the best out of his players. stones was looking very good earlier on in the season until his injury too.

His brand of football only works when you have massive resources to acquire a squad talented enough to carry out his vision. Everyone must be good enough with the ball in any situation from the front to the back. No exceptions.

Problem throughout the football league is theres too many teams trying the same philosophy but don't have players nearly good enough to do so. We've fallen into this bracket before and it was really poor to watch.

The pound shop version was Huddersfield - they gained promotion by spending literally bugger all playing the Pep way,

I must say I generally prefer direct, fast, high pressure football than the possession game.

However, City are playing some wonderful stuff this season and if you don’t like watching it I’d say you either don’t like football or favour Man U and their bus.

I disagree. If anything they played the Klopp/Poch way with the emphasis being on high intensity attacking football and defending high up the pitch from the forwards. That’s not “tipy tapy” football.

When you try playing tiki taka with Dawson and Perkins in your midfield and McNulty in defence, its going to be a dull day. Add Messi, Xavi and Iniesta/De Bruyne, Aguëro and Sterling in your side and it might work. Id like to see Pep lead Rochdale to European Glory

Pep’s never played ‘tip tap’ football. Many others that tried to copy it without the attacking flair have.

They’re a joy to watch, the brilliance of De Bruyne & Silva is incredible to watch with them constantly providing quality balls for Sterling, Sane, B. Silva, Aguero & Jesus.

This money arguments boring. If Pep doesn’t spend that money someone else is who’ll play a much less entertaining brand of football.

Ask yourself this question, how many Man Utd or Chelsea fans would’ve wanted Stones, Otamendi, Delph, Zinchenko, Sterling etc at the start of the season? All been crucial players in a runaway title win.

How many mocked City for buying ‘Chelsea flop’ De Bruyne?

How many of them would’ve wanted Gabriel Jesus over Lulaku & Morata?

How many of them wanted Ederson?

Pep gets the best out of players & develops them whilst playing superb football.

It’s no coincidence Spain won the World Cup whilst he was Barca manager & it’s no coincidence Germany won the World Cup whilst he managed Bayern.

Look at what he’s done at left back, loses his main left back Mendy & converts a central midfielder Delph & an attacking midfielder out of the academy Zinchenko into quality full backs. Every team they played tried to target it as a potential weak spot & apart from Liverpool no ones had success.

Imagine Mourinho doing that, just wouldn’t happen.

The blokes the best of his era by a mile.

You mean like Michael Essien at Chelsea and Ashley Young at United?

He didn’t convert them into them roles both played them before especially Young. Van Gaal had him at left back a fair bit.

Both were experienced pro’s & seen as good players as well.

At the start of the season Delph was seen as only there for the English quota, not up to it & likely to be sold & Zinchenko was a player virtually no one knew.

Essien was 100% converted, no idea why you’d suggest otherwise. As for Young, he’s England’s best left back by a country mile under JM and it’ll be a travesty if he doesn’t start for England at the World Cup.

You’re talking as though Delph and Zinchenko have been phenomenal but they haven’t. They’ve been steady in an attacking side that has ran riot and where the opposition set out more often than not to contain as opposed to anything else. Just look at Chelsea last week, they didn’t try to attack at all, it was woeful to watch.

Delph is also 28 years old. He’s not a newcomer.

I am not that particularly bothered about watching premier league football , however the current Man city side is a joy to watch , if you watch their first goal at Stoke last night , it summed up everything you would want to see as a football fan , shear class

    I preferred Pep's days when a long hoof into the box produced the results;
