With massively better goal difference. In our hands. Sounded like we weren't bad tonight either. Keep the faith
Bloody hell, I admire your positivity!!!!! Really disappointed with that tonight - the type of game you need to win to stop up Birmingham have a run of a few winnable games
That is the only positive. even if we lose on Sat, we can't go into bottom 3 Make no mistake though, we were devoid of ideas in teh second half barring the sitter Thiam missed
3 home wins in 14 months. No win against a team outside the bottom 3 since 30 September (Millwall). Not scored more than once in a game since 31 October, except against Birmingham. I don't even care about stopping up anymore. I just want our team not to be complete and utter dogshit and win a game, score a couple of goals every now and again. If that's in league 1 then so be it.
Theres absolutely NO positives to take from peeing this game away. Norwich scored in the 71st minute with only their second on-target shot of the match, why do we keep gifting goals to teams who havent been that much of a threat up front.
Birmingham & Sunderland must be laughing tonight because as genuinely awful as they both have been... they can both still catch us up easily enough.
Theres every chance that they might though. How many times are we going to throw these sort of winning opportunities away and then end up making excuses.
Brum have got some dangerous (winnable) looking home games coming up, whereas we had one as well tonight and didn't seem to want to win it. I find that hard to accept.
Very disappointing. I've always been very optimistic regarding our chances of survival. However, after tonights result, that feeling is starting to dissipate. Our destiny is still in our own hands and we've not got to keep pinning our hopes on the three below us continuing to perpetuate their poor runs. Saturday's game as far as I am concerned, is now a must win. Lose and we're going to find it to be a real struggle to survive.
Until we somehow learn to score more than one goal in a game then i honestly expect us to be relegated. Basically 5 months since we last managed to do that at Oakwell so I’m not holding my breath .
Aye and they end on 4 hard games- 3 play off contenders, league winners. They lose against an in-form Hull and their best chances for points are Bolton & Burton and thats about it
Point of this thread was that we're in a better position now than we were at 7pm. The only ambition this season now is to stay up, and I do think we'll do that. The 3 below us are all pants enough to give me confidence. The real challenge will be the summer transfer window.
Yes its a point better off tonight but it really doesn't feel like it (not at the moment anyway) and like thd Hull game, it could and should have been better. As for us desperately needing to get it right in the summer 'window', yes I agree. But we shouldn't be needing yet another total clear out and rebuild job again, not almost every single summer anyway.
