    About 15 miles with the loanee Cavapoo.

    2 pints and pie peas and mash in Ilkley and half an hour's chat with John Hendrie, who had been out walking too.

    What a great guy.

    I didn't chat the glory days. Was dogs, hiking and the current team. (He watched us versus Hull), last not a surprise obviously.

    Was such a gent. Even asking me for my DJ business card.

    Just that.

    JH did the pre-match talk in one of the boxes at Hull. He spoke fondly of us as though we were still his team and backed us to win. He came across as a genuinely decent bloke which is contrary to what I had heard previously so I was pleasantly surprised.

    Half way through posting it I thought the same.

    Sadly it is all true. I didn't big him up at all. We were joking about being old guys walking dogs.

    Daft thing is I'd posted last night after the match I was gonna forget everything and walk the dog....
