It’s a big match, prices go up for big matches, that’s how it’s always worked.

    Derby
    Play off push for Blunts
    Relegation battle for us

More demand and a higher price. I presume match tickets will be the same for Home fans, but they aren’t listed yet online.

‘Twenty’s Plenty’ isn’t Premier League policy or anyone else’s. It’s an FSF initiative that was picked by advertisers (Virgin?) last year or two to make themselves look good, and applied to select, presumably unglamorous matches.

    It’s nothing new.

Away tickets in the premier league are capped at £30 yet one league down away fans are charged more on a regular basis. So if you support Villa or Wolves as a "big game" you may be charged more on a regular basis. I think charging sheff u £36 or anyone for that matter, is disgusting

It's not how it's always 'worked' though is it? It's worked like this since television money changed the face of football forever.

It’s not how it’s always worked is it. We used to charge the same for all matches and price reasonably. Now we are one of the pigs at the trough ripping off our fellow fans.

What do you think of the prices we are charging for their under 22"s age group & the junior price ? these categories will be a big part of their following

Research into away followings show that less than 20% of away (see FSA research) followings fall into that category. For that minority they are reasonable. For everyone else they are a source of shame to us.

I agree , the adult price is a disgrace but the prices in the other categories are cheap & this seems to be getting overlooked , just to add , the under 22 group will cover many of their fans who are adults & probably in employment not just juveniles

Does not make up for the disgusting pricing and hiding behind reciprocal pricing doesn't excuse it either.

I said that the full adult price is a disgrace but the other categories are offering prices cheaper than when ever we play away , but I repeat this seems to be getting overlooked

Premier League clubs have the small matter of £200 million a year to subside these things

It's not over looked it's just a small gesture and doesn't help the majority.

True enough but they still gauge the home fans anyway. I know we are just doing what everyone else does. I just wish we wouldn't hide behind reciprocal pricing. What really gets me is fans defend clubs over charging, not just our fans but fans of all clubs.

Its not a small gesture , its not just juveniles , it covers 22 year olds & younger & you and I well know that fans up to the age of around 25 will buy these tickets , if you look on the Ponty at any match there are lot of fans what fall into this group , when do we get these prices when we play away ?

All fair points, the wider argument of pricing in general at all clubs is the real issue. As for sheff u could we not just offer a more reasonable flat rate for all fans rather than just the under 22?

Well I think what you are saying is sense , however , we are offering concessions to juniors , under 22"s & senior citizens which are all far better than most do , its just the adult ticket which is way overpriced but I wonder if they reduced that drastically would it mean an increase on the other three sections , just food for thought

To look at it another way we are charging our own fans 4 quid more than sheff Utd did.

Charging as much as you can get away with without affecting the number of sales drastically makes sense from a business point of view.

But £36 for the product we offer is an absolute scandal, and it will affect numbers longer term.

I fear what this might mean for our season tickets. I know I’m likely to have to pay something for my ten yr old’s st this summer after the fan engagement findings - I get why - how much more will mine be too?

Remains to be seen I suppose

A hike in season ticket prices on the back of what has been served up this season would be a rather courageous move.

But not massively unlikely all the same.

I hope they’ve gauged the areas spending ability generally before deciding the pricing structure. The ground is empty enough on most match days, worse in the ale house league if the worst happens, we need to be well backed.

They are sensible educated business people, they shouldn’t be daft enough to hike unreasonably. Might not get an early bird offer in the same vein perhaps though.
